Lovely, modern rooms in a quiet village with stunning views. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was nice-served in a former wine shop. The host was helpful and gave a nice recommendation for dinner in another village about 10 minutes drive from Smartno. Some reviews said the drive to Smartno was challenging and a bit scary. It was not. Don’t let those reviews keep you away.

Nice to stay right in the Medieval castle walls! Alena was very helpful and gave personal information to help us find our way around. It’s vey small and quaint! Excellent wine bar, Vinoteka, and restaurant Hisa Marica.
