We had a very good experience at the Balmoral, room clean and well presented. Breakfast superb.

There are some steep stairs, but we never mind that. The host offered us some good advice and gave some local history about the area. There is a public sitting room right inside the front door. The bedroom was clean with two beds (not a sleeper sofa like some) and a big window facing the flats - a beautiful view. Everything was clean with a coffee/tea maker in the room. In the morning, they offered a big breakfast. Perfect for us and our adult daughter.

The location is BEAUTIFUL! Viv was AMAZING and so friendly. We ended up in a massive traffic jam due to an incident on the way to our location, and Viv was wonderful in allowing for a later check in due to our situation. The room was clean and well laid out, we had an ocean facing room on the top floor, with plenty of comfortable sleeping room. We did a little exploring the following day with recommendations from Viv before we continued on to Scotland. Breakfast was delicious and made to perfection, other guests were equally as cheerful with the location and accommodation, but Viv and her positive welcoming demeanour was by far the highlight of our experience. Highly recommend staying here if you're visiting the area, or travelling through.
