The dining room is charming and the chef is good. When I was stuck at the Castle Fraser because no taxis were available, the owner’s wife drove 4.4 miles to get me. She was kind and generous to us, giving us true royal treatment. Her son was charming and helpful too.

Great stay for the price and location. We were only there very briefly for an overnight stop and arrived to late for dinner. They graciously allowed us to buy a drink from the bar and use the microwave.
