We were thrilled first walking into the hotel front courtyard which looks better than its pictures and like stepping into a Platonic ideal of an old English building and scene. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The location is also very convenient. The room was clean and adequate rather than lavish, but we were very glad to have stayed here.

The location and history of the building make it a great hotel. One needs to recognize that it is an older structure but that’s what gives it the character. Great breakfast.
