Good stopover option for us. We needed a place to spend a night before driving onwards. It was clean and well maintained. We basically slept overnight next day showered changed and drove on.
This is a very good quality Guest House. Good communications and straightforward check in and out. Although there is no Breakfast - they do say this - there are 2 x excellent cafes to get breakfast withing lest than 100 metres.
I really did like Compton Guest House, the location was excellent, parking easy and rooms excellent.
They really have thought about the 'Little Things' as well. For example, the tea/coffee making facilities in the room are fantastic. Plenty of everything. None of that running out of milk or anything. Another simple thing but which really impresses me - the shower controls are simple. I found that the shower was set at exactly the temperature I like - no messing around with complicated controls or anything like that. I cannot recommend Compton Guest House enough. Certainly, the next time I am in Buxton, I will be using Compton Guest house again. Thank you

Great location. Clean and comfortable. Instructions to get in and key easily found. Information in room was good and prior to arrival.
Nice shower with great pressure and a lovely mirror that lit up.
The Guest House invites you to make yourself at home and I really did feel at home! The house is in a peaceful, easy to find location and close to Solomon's Temple, parks and the centre ville. My dog was warmly accepted. My room was very cosy and the bed was incredibly comfy. Everything is spotlessly clean. I found this excellent value for money.
