Set in a former coaching inn, the County Hotel is in the center of Kendal, just 328 feet from Kendal Railway Station. The hotel offers traditional meals and cooked breakfasts. Great atmosphere. Fantastic food. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great all in all, very enjoyable stay. .
Very comfortable and a great location. The breakfast was fabulous too. But above all, the hostess Linda at the reception was super-friendly, offering numerous tips on where to visit. In general, I was warmly received by everyone at the reception. I would gladly return to this hotel.
The room was good and the hotel was nice. We had a good breakfast included. The hotel is just a short walk from the town and a fairly good choice of places to eat at. Free parking in front of the hotel is useful but there are other affordable parking options nearby.
Good size rooms, excellent breakfast and comfortable bed
Everything was great. I am not easily impressed but I was on this one. Staff were lovely friendly and helpful.
Location great for train and only about 5 minute walk into town.
Single room was pretty big and it looked new.
Breakfast was fab.
The young Lady behind the lounge bar on Friday 23 rd may was a credit to the hotel, she was so smiley and friendly and made us feel so welcomed.
