Located just 20 minutes' walk from York Minster, The Dairy is a converted town dairy set in a restored and upgraded Victorian townhouse with many original features. It is 15 minutes' walk from the Shambles. Each individually styled room has a TV with a DVD player, hot drink facilities, mineral water, a hairdryer and an alarm clock. You will also find toiletries in the rooms. Every morning, guests will enjoy a traditional English breakfast with locally sourced produce, York bacon and sausages, free range eggs and York honey. A lighter option with cereals and yogurt is also available. Local attractions include York Racecourse, 1.5 miles away, while the National Railway Museum is 1.1 miles away. Fulford Golf Club is 2 miles away and York Railway Station is 0.6 mile away.

The guest house is in a good location in regards to city noise and conveniences. There is a corner store Sainsbury’s next door and the train station is “right around the corner” about 15-20 min walk. We walked into the city center, only 15 min away.
Nice and quiet place, great location, just 10-15 minutes walk from train station and tourist places. A lot of small restaurants and shops around. Friendly and helpful staff, upon arrival you will get a brochure of city map and other places to visit, I think such small things are very helpful when you visit a town first time. Good breakfast, you can choose different options every day. Rooms are clean and cozy, will make you feel like home. Kitchenette and bottle of water are available in every room.
