Location and cleanliness.
Room size was perfect for our family of four.
Very friendly staff. Breakfast was good. The pub atmosphere is very nice.
A nice character pub with rooms.
We arrived in terrible weather, strong winds and heavy rain, and very soon we discovered the whole area was experiencing a power cut. So sadly no dinner or drinks in the restaurant on this occasion, but luckily the fish and chip shop in the next village was back on power!
I later realised that Steve the owner had emailed to pre-warn us of the problem and advise on eating en- route, which was very good of him.
Breakfast was back on next morning and very good, although veg option has to be pre-ordered, which we weren't aware of, but this may have been due to the disruption during the power cut.

Room was lovely, very clean and spacious yet cosy. Staff were super friendly and welcoming
Great place, lovely courtyard room, good breakfast. Located good location for a concert in Scarborough.
