Great communication to arrange a late and contact-free check-in. Useful to access Edinburgh as close to both train station and bus stop, but really quiet and calm, so a nice escape from the city (especially during the festival!). Probably better to drive there due to location, but would be accessible without either by walking, or taking a taxi from the station. Clean, well equipped studio apartment. Nice little extras left, including breakfast items and some biscuits. Nicely decorated and fresh.

Glenarch House is a beautiful country estate located just outside Dalkeith on a private drive next to a small river. It’s very private hence quiet. Our hosts Nicola & Ben were very attentive & assisted us with some extra attention we required. Our stay was very nice, the sightseeing was interesting & the restaurants very good. We loved Edinburgh and would like to return this area and Glenarch House in the future.

Gorgeous property, well designed room. Love the bathroom and the relaxing vibe. Perfect for solo or family. It’s a cab ride away from the center.

The grounds were lovely to wander around. Nicola greeted us as we arrived and made sure we knew to contact her if we needed anything. The room was perfect, the bed was very comfortable, the layout of the room made it feel very homely and the facilities in the room had everything you could need for a short or long term stay. Your own private access to the room from the courtyard was an added bonus. All in all, it was as perfect a stay as it could be and I highly recommend booking a stay here and I will in the future.
