It was exactly as they described. honestly, part of why we picked it was because of the review responses by the owner to people who rated it poorly because of the traveler's error to understand. We were arriving later than normal business hours and they set us up with special access. Our table was always ready in the morning. The bed was very comfortable, we like softer beds.
The Glengorm House refers to itself as "no frills" and that is exactly right. Checking in with Dorothy was easy and we had a good little chat before she walked me to my room. This is an extremely old Victorian structure that to me, is charming. It could use some touches of endearment but it didn't affect my stay at all. My bed had a thick padding under me, and the pillows were superbly comfortable - I slept GREAT! A little continental breakfast to get my day started was just right. The breakfast room is charming and orderly with an older Chesterfield style settee if you wanted to sit and read or watch the world go by.
I most definitely would stay here again.
Breakfast was perfect - I preferred having a light breakfast rather than a heavy full breakfast. The location was quiet which I appreciated.
