Lantern House has a convenient location, just a few hundred yards from the River Cam and about a mile (1 mi) from the city center. The Grafton Shopping Center is just a 10-minute walk away. The hotel offers a range of accommodations. Private bathrooms and rooms with shared bathrooms are both available. All rooms have TVs. While the Lantern does not serve any meals including breakfast, a range of restaurants are found half a mile away. Many of Cambridge's famous colleges are just a short walk away and the heart of the city can be easily reached on foot, by crossing one of the beautiful greens. Regular buses are available nearby for those who prefer not to walk.

Very clean property, friendly staff, excellent location
The staff was helpful and kind over the phone.. I was able to reach them quickly when I arrived and they helped me sort things out.
The place was very quiet and the bedding clean and comfortable.
Extremely neat and clean. Very cosy room. Great location: a quiet almost suburban type but some 20 minutes leisure walking from Cambridge centre (15 minutes brisk walking). Or 5 minutes by bus. The staff is competent and helpful. Great value for the money. When I go to Cambridge once more I will first look for the Lantern house for sure.
The proximity to Cambridge was great. There was a bus nearby and it was within walking distance, if you like. The staff was very helpful. One of the best parts was the ability to use the washer and dryer on-site.
Room was very awesome and the owner was really nice
