Loved the atmosphere, decor, real fires crackling away to greet you. The cleanliness was first class. Staff were professional, helpful and jovial ( when they could be found....more later).
Merewood was an exceptional stay. The old home is gorgeous and the staff was friendly. The rooms themselves had a stunning view, comfy beds, a cozy feel, and were stocked extremely well with toiletries.
The location itself is a bit remote, but we appreciated the quiet. It's easy enough to order a taxi to get to town, just give yourself an extra 10-15 minutes for them to arrive. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be returning.
Beautiful old country manor, well maintained in a spectacular country setting. Very quiet and peaceful location but easy access to Windermere and main roads in the area. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
