The apartment was very spacious, very clean and had fantastic sea views. It also had outdoor space.

With great views across the bay towards Rothesay and the mainland mountains, we thoroughly enjoyed 4 nights in this spacious ground floor apartment (Scalpsie). Very friendly owners available for advice. An easy coastline walk into both Rothesay and Port Bannatyne (booked a lovely meal at the Caledonia restaurant and enjoyed open mic music at the pub in the latter). The island has fantastic coastal walks and scenery. Mount Stuart is stunning. A great break, admittedly helped by sunshine, but given the abundance of flowers and palm trees, Rothesay obviously enjoys a sheltered micro climate.

Had a lovely stay. We were sent a message beforehand explaining everything we would need to know. Flat is lovely in a great location.

We stayed in Scalpsie Bay Apartment which contained a living room, kitchen area, bathroom and bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was comfy. The living room had nice touches like a blanket for the sofa and the apartment had a good heating system on each radiator which always seemed to keep the place at a nice temperature. The three windows all had a beautiful view of the sea, and they made the most of this with tables and chairs positioned in two of them. When we did have to contact the owners, Lynn and Al, all issues were dealt with swiftly and they were always easy to contact.

A top location with a magnificent view. Easy parking on site and a lovely big kitchen. Comfortable bed.
