Overlooking Melrose Abby and Priorwood Gardens, Pear Cottage is a self-catering apartment in the historic old town of Melrose. Updated with modern conveniences, it still retains its old world charm. It was clean and spacious. The bedroom was in the back of the unit so it was quiet. The on-site parking was a bonus. Helen Stewart, who manages it for the National Trust of Scotland, was genuine, kind, helpful, and a pleasure to talk to.

Location was excellent, facilities good, exceptional property.
Great location between Abbey and the garden and close to shops, cafes, pubs, etc. Nearby park is ideal if travelling with a dog.
Designated parking space is handy to avoid dealing with often busy parking nearby.
The cottage itself was clean and comfortable with everything we needed.
Location overlooking Melrose Abbey is superb. The lounge has windows on three sides looking out in turn on the Abbey, the main street and a National Trust Garden. The excellent Roman museum of Trimontium is just around the corner.
