Lovely, characterful property in a great rural location, a bit of wow factor on arrival driving up and good for watching the stars. The staff were very lovely too, helpful and attentive, to our dog & us. We stayed for dinner which was great (brie, steak & duck dishes all cooked very well) & nice whiskies. Thanks to all those concerned at the hotel
The room in the courtyard was spacious as it was designed for disabled access (not required in our case)
Bed was spacious and comfy
Evening meal was good value - was expecting a pricier menu

So much character. It was a pleasure to stop in such a beautiful place. Our courtyard room was beautiful with a brilliant shower. The bed was lovely and comfortable. All staff were brilliant. A shout out to Suzanne the chef. She was brilliant and the food excellent. Also Jane was the perfect host. Nothing was too much trouble. The tour was great. Thank you.

Everyone was fantabulous! Suzanne went above and beyond several times for us. We were spending overnight before my cousins wedding nearby and forgot tights. She stopped at the Biggar Co-Op to see if they had them for us. Appreciated her great sense of humor and wonderful meal service. I needed gluten free and had the most delicious pheasant with gf gravy! I still pine over it! It was a welcoming and felt like coming to friends/families house comforting. Would gladly go out of our way to stay here again. Loved the stay in the cabins.
