I stayed here recently and honestly, it was a lovely little spot. Nothing over the top or flashy, but it had everything I needed and felt really comfortable from the moment I walked in.
The place is quite small, but that actually made it feel more personal and peaceful. My room was clean, warm, and super cozy—perfect for relaxing after a long day. The bed was comfortable, and although the TV wasn’t a smart one, it was just fine for winding down with some background noise.
The staff were friendly and helpful, always up for a quick chat or happy to help with anything I needed. You can tell they care about the place and the guests, which makes a big difference.
If you’re after somewhere simple, quiet, and genuinely pleasant to stay, this place ticks all the boxes. I'd definitely come back.
Monica was very welcoming and helpful. Ample choices for breakfast. Parking available. Appreciated ground floor room. Close enough to walk into Exeter, if one is fit and/or young! Bus stop very near.

The owner is friendly, welcoming, and flexible. The room was very clean and super comfortable and quiet. The neighborhood is quiet as well. The guest house is located near a train station and a bus stop. It's about a 20-25 minute walk to the centre.
