Everyone was friendly. Even though our room was above the dining room and looked out to the balcony it wasn't too loud. We were worried that the noise would keep us awake, but the only night we heard people was Friday night, and even that was only until about 11pm. We only ate dinner at the Anchor Inn one night, but the food was good. We also liked our desserts. Breakfast was ok, although we would have liked if it started a bit earlier than 8am. Our room was small, but overall was comfortable. Shower pressure was good (which is important to me). Good location. Parking is available in the back. We also liked that they had live music on a couple of the nights we were there.
It was our second visit to the property in as many months. Tremendous value and excellent food.
Excellent food. Good value for money. Friendly staff. Great community spirit, especially during the Sea Shanty night.
We extended our stay a couple more nights since this accommodation was perfect!
Lovely rooms above a pretty and lively pub. All the staff were super nice. The room we stayed in had a great view of the rolling green hills, and overlooked a nice patio out the back of the pub. Breakfasts are included and are ample. You can ask for oat milk. Location in Hartland can't be beaten as it is central to everything! (not difficult in Hartland, it's tiny). I really liked that I could work on my laptop downstairs at one of the tables in the restaurant. The room was good - shower was strong and hot enough, with heated towel rails in the bathroom (love those). Shampoo, body wash, and enough toilet paper all provided. Room was clean. Bed comfortable. Heating worked at odd times and we were not sure if it was on a timer or a thermostat.. (didnt really behave like either)... but we had no issues with coldness in the room nonetheless. Loved that we could pop downstairs of an evening and have dinner or just a drink. Really great stay thank you!!
