The Brighton is a long-established guest house within the heart of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Just 1-mile from the city center, The Brighton offers easy access to a variety of restaurants, bars and nightlife. Each cozy, individually decorated room is well maintained and includes a TV with either shared or private bathrooms. The cities oldest structure, the Newcastle Castle is just 7 minutes' drive away. For football fans, St James' Park is a short 5-minute journey in the car, with the main shopping hub, Eldon Square Shopping Center a further 2 minutes' drive away. Please note, we no longer provide complementary tea and coffee with the "standard room types" this is only provided in our apartments or rooms that state "Kitchenette".

Michele who met me on arrival, was very pleasant, helpful and informative. The place was very clean, well decorated and great value for the price paid. Basic but very adequate. A good nights sleep had.

Very cozy hotel in a fantastic location for what Newcastle has to offer.
- Quiet location close to the city centre, and town moor (start line for great north 10k and great north run).
- Good sized room with decent shower.
- Open 'wardrobe' with plenty of hangers
- TV which had all of the freeview channels (something of a luxury in English hotels)
- Friendly and welcoming staff
