Loved the rural location and village. Some nice room touches, like robes + good selection of teas, and fresh milk. The bed was super comfortable and the power shower very efficient. Lorraine, the owner, is friendly and helpful. General ambience in bar and dining areas is very good; the food and service excellent. After feeling some uncertainty on arrival we left with every intention of returning.
This is a wonderful place to stay. An idyllic rural hideaway - confirmed by it being the locals' 'local'! Everyone made you feel that they wanted you to be there - and nothing was too much trouble. A true 'English pub' that you hope to visit.
Thoughtful touches and a real pride in what they do. Very personal care by the owner who is a constant and welcome presence.
Breakfast was excellent as was the dinner the night before.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, room and food were excellent and the staff were all friendly and attentive.
