David the proprietor went out of his way to make us comfortable and cooked a great breakfast.
Great location, lovely countryside views to the rear. Tidy rooms - basic facilities but all that you need for an overnight stay
After a 200 mile drive, walking into a warm bar was perfect. After a decline The Castle has been bought by a local farmer to prevent it being developed inappropriately. The staff's efforts to look after us more than compensated for any problems. The chef whistled up some nibbles to keep us going until an excellent lasagne appeared.
We all had a great evening meal, and a great karaoke night afterwards!!
Would recommend to anyone. look forward to our stay next year.
