Originally built as a farmhouse, Cedars Hotel offers a blend of 15th-century charm combined with modern amenities. The oak-beamed bar features a large open fireplace, and guests will also benefit from free on-site parking. An private bathroom, flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities are provided in each room at Cedars Hotel, as well as a clock radio. Stowmarket town center can be reached in a 15-minute walk and features a variety of shops, a theater and museums.

Disappointed no restaurant. Needs some updating. Generally very satisfied though. Super comfy mattresses, good heating and hot water.
Comfortable bed.
Tea, coffee and biscuits.
Quiet location.
The two members of staff we saw were very helpful. We had to call reception out of hours and our complaint was dealt with straight away.
The staff, especially all the receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Very quiet and safe location, with police station just around the corner. Great value for money!
There isn't much choice of accommodation in Stowmarket, but the Cedars is generally the best option - nice and quiet, best location (its not right in the centre, bit its at least walkable, unlike other options!) Rooms a bit dated, but perfectly fine for the money. I've stayed in the past when breakfast was offered which was great. Unfortunately breakfast isn't currently offered, but I understand that the accommodation is due to be majorly refurbished/extended soon, and expect breakfast will return after that. Until then you have ALDI, Tesco, Mcdonalds, Costa all just under a mile away, so not far to go for something to eat.
