The Cromwell Arms is a 17th century oak-beamed coaching inn located in Bovey Tracey. On the edge of Dartmoor National Park, 4 mi from Haytor Rocks, it is surrounded by beautiful countryside. Free WiFi and free private parking are available. Guests can enjoy fresh home-cooked food, a selection of daily specials and a wide range of cask ales and wines. There are 14 rooms at the Cromwell, all traditionally furnished, with private bathrooms, a flat-screen TV and a refreshments tray. Haytor is less than 10 minutes drive, while Newton Abbot can be reached in 15 minutes. The seaside is less than 30 minutes away by car. The area is popular for hiking and cycling. There is bicycle storage at the property.

The location, the food, the staff, the room, the cleanliness all round was absolutely spot on! Stayed at The Cromwell Arms many a time previously. New owners now, and cannot fault anything whatsoever. Would be nice if breakfast was served in the restaurant from 07:00am to 10:00am rather than 08:00am to 10:00am. I was served a bacon roll to take away with me as I left before 08:00am, and it was absolutely delicious!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Evening meal and cooked breakfast were excellent. Room was clean. Wi-Fi works well.

Inexpensive and no frills. Great location for exploring the moors and tors. Nice parking lot and quiet after 10 pm.
