I travel to the island frequently to spend weekends with my son.
It puts a financial strain on me, especially when factoring in the price of ferries, so i use booking.com to find the cheapest accomodation that suit our needs. We've stayed at the Crown Hotel a couple of times now and I will certainly book again.
The rooms are a good size, warm, with comfortable beds, tea and coffee making facilities and ensuit loo's and showers.
Its basic but honest accomodation.
There is a bar downstairs which can be noisy on a Friday or Saturday evening but they don't go on all night. Its in the town centre so the associated noise should be expected.
