This charming old inn is located in Exmoor National Park, a 25-minute drive from the coast at Ilfracombe. It brews its own beer, has a peaceful garden for guests to relax in, and features free internet and free parking on site. Rooms at The Hunters Inn are elegant and traditionally furnished, and each benefits from a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, and an private bathroom with a hairdryer. Lunch, cream teas, and evening meals can be enjoyed at Hunters Inn. Local ingredients are used to produce a menu of British favorites and tasty deserts. The Bristol Channel is just a few minutes’ drive away, and the surrounding National Park has plenty of picturesque routes for walking and cycling. Barnstaple is also within driving distance.

The lodge was excellent, clean, warm and welcoming, the facilities were great everything you could want in your own house, the lodge has a fully fitted kitchen and two separate bathrooms , the bathroom is small but functional with a full bath and seperate shower, the lounge is comfortable but the sofas are low so I found it difficult to get up and down. The outside space is small but big enough to sit out, I think it needs a table outside for drinks. Overall a excellent and beautiful place to visit, we will definitely return.

This is a charming Inn in a very beautiful location. My room was fabulous. The ensuite had a window and a bathtub - heaven after a long hike
Breakfast was good and served in a beautiful room with a wall of glass looking out on the garden.
The location is great - in a forest, close to a beach and the coastal path.

Located in a magical forest in the middle of nowhere! The drive to the Hunter's Inn is not for the faint of heart - very narrow one-track roads through tall hedgerows - but having the chance to stay in such a beautiful place is well-worth the effort. We particularly appreciated the warm and welcoming staff, the delicious dinner (my daughter had the chicken and said it was the best she'd ever had), and the convenience of a large and spacious 2BR apartment for our family. We will definitely be back!
Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. We stayed in the 2 bed apartment which was fabulous, spotlessly clean, spacious and good value. We will return.
