The Lawns Guest House has a central location in Retford, Nottinghamshire, and offers stylish accommodations. Just 10 minutes’ walk from the town center, rooms at this Georgian property benefit from free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking. We do not provide Breakfast, however, we have 2 fully fitted communal kitchens all guests are welcome to use. Retford also has many cafés and coffee shops within walking distance of the guest house, and there’s also supermarkets nearby. Each room at The Lawns has an en suite shower room with complementary toiletries, tea and coffee facilities and a 32” flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Beds are dressed with Egyptian cotton sheets, comfy duvets and plenty of pillows. Retford is close to Nottinghamshire’s borders with Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire. Historic Lincoln is a 35-minute drive away, and the guest house is just under 30 minutes from Doncaster’s Robin Hood Airport.

Warm welcome on arrival and very accommodating. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds comfortable. The rooms were very clean and the bottles of water were a nice addition after a long drive.
Will definitely stay again if we're back in the area.
Clean comfortable accommodation on the main road into Retford from Mansfield direction. Entrance via lockbox, room spacious, very clean and comfortable, opening windows and all usual amenities.
Retford is a great place with fab markets Fri and Sat. Lovely property and very helpful lady Estelle. Excellent selection of amazing eating places , what’s not to love!
I have stayed at the Lawns a number of times and it never disappoints. The rooms are clean, quiet and well proportioned. The kitchen is clean and has all the appliances I need. It’s also an easy walk into town.
We loved our stay at The Lawns as it worked really well for us as a family. The family room was perfect as it had twin beds for our boys and a separate room leading off the main room with a large bed for us. This meant that our sons felt secure and we had space for ourselves. We had all we needed in the room (tea, coffee, water, glasses, cups etc.) as well as toiletries in the bathroom. We also were near to local amenities (supermarkets, restaurants) and also a short drive away from Sherwood Forest. It was a great location and also really comfortable. Tim and Stelle were fab hosts and made everything really easy for us during our stay. We'll definitely be back to stay at The Lawns again as there's loads to explore in the surrounding areas!
