Breakfast had plenty of variety and surroundings were so scenic with beautiful gardens
After arrival, we had a sunny and windy late afternoon walk on the moor. The landscape is so beautiful!
Despite the hotel being under renovations, which meant we didn't get to take advantage of their Little Lodge restaurant/bar, and there being no other guests, we had a lovely room, and TOP NOTCH, kind, and pleasant service from Jane, the manager. She made all the difference! We were only there one night, as part of a walking trip, but when I come back to the area, I would definitely want to stay again. It's a great location for walking and there's plenty of dining options nearby that are excellent. Also walking distance to the South Devon Railway, which makes it easy to explore around Totnes as well.
The breakfast was delightful - I had the Full English and it came in a simple circle around my plate - not what I was expecting, but really enjoyed the presentation! The food was excellent.
Cooked served breakfast on a hot plate, not a buffet. Cups and saucers. Superb service
