Very warm welcome and the staff continued to be incredibly kind and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
Breakfast was excellent as was the two meals we had at the Smithy.
Really charming little inn that's sort of off the beaten track, but it suited my walking route. Lovely, large garden with lots of tables for enjoying the restaurant menu and bar, My friend and I sat for hours in the evening sun enjoying the setting. Charming room, which suited me quite well and was very cozy, but might have been a challenge for tall guests. The room my friend stayed in was much larger, with high, vaulted ceilings, so this is worth mentioning when making a reservation. Bathroom was modern and clean, with heated towel rack. Polite staff!
The Old Smithy Inn is set in beautiful countryside. We stayed on an amazing separate unit opposite the pub. It was toasty warm & relaxing with a beautiful sunset.
