Dog friendly, clean, convenient, private, modern kitchette, well arranged, and friendly people on site in the pub in event of difficulties. Its not close to the beach, being in the northside of Deal, but a short drive and very well situated for trips to Sandwich, Walmar, St Margrets and Dover. Very inexpensive - the Sportsman should be charging us more!

Great little hotel to stay in if you are taking a ferry, though the room is so big and well equipped you could comfortably stay a week. The staff were very friendly and organised, the room was exceptionally clean and plenty of room in the car park (we had a big van). Not a lot in the area in the way of dining, but if you arrive on the right day, their food offerings looked quite good.
