The property was overall excellent, room was small, with all the facilities, which was clean and well presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food available was excellent, well prepared and would recommend when staying.

I liked the Watergate Inn as soon as I walked through the Archway and onto old cobbled entrance and the "mews type individual rooms....hanging baskets /planters filled with lovely flower's/ plants.All the way down to a beer garden type area with what I believed would have been mill/ factory with the secondary river to the River Ouze running as far as the eye could see.The staff were all excellent,nothing to much trouble ,they all fell in love with my wee dog Rafferty and we were made to feel so welcome.The Watergate Inn was so well situated to get around York,walking my wee dog....I loved my stay and I will most definitely visit again .. .soon.
