Very friendly people in a lovely location only 6 minutes down the road from fantasy island. We lived be able to take our dog too and he was also welcomed.

Had a stay at The Saracen’s Head whilst working locally. Stayed in the ‘Cabin’ family room as (I think), I had my dog with me. Room was what it was, a budget room, but fair value at £80 for a night. Bed was very comfortable. Shower was walk-in and was excellent. There was no desk in the room which would have helped, as I was working, but I guess that’s because it was a family room.
The host (Barry) and his partner were very pleasant and helpful. Main pub seemed like a nice place to have a quiet drink. Pub was working winter hours so no evening meal or breakfast but there is a local Premier store 30 seconds away and Barry pointed me in the direction of Chapel St Leonard’s which had fish & chips and a pizza shop (which I went for and it was great) and for breakfast there is apparently a garden centre 1.5 miles away that does good breakfasts. That didn’t work for me as it didn’t open until 9am and I had to work unfortunately (but I found somewhere else a few miles away)
Location good.
Last minute booking and staff were great.
