A warm welcome from lovely staff. The hotel is in a beautiful setting for exploring the local area and has a lovely garden. The bar downstairs is lively and friendly. Selection of ales, though not local. Breakfast was really tasty. The food from the restaurant/ bar was excellent value and had a lovely home cooked feel. Our family room was a good size and very well appointed with lamps, cups, plenty of towels and biscuits. Beds were comfy. Excellent value overall.

The setting is unusual in the slate mining area but the view down the valley spectacular. Food was excellent. The staff very accommodating and friendly. Very clean. Comfortable bed! Enjoyed my brief stay.

All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, Excellent breakfast, great location and lovely setting. Great bar, where locals drank too, which is a great sign. Excellent bar food. Wonderful service at breakfast and in the bar for evening meals.

Beautiful location and a beautiful hotel. Very clean and comfortable throughout. Breakfast was really good. The staff were polite and helpful. A definite to stay in the future.
