First of all, it’s a quintessential English pub in a valley in the beautiful midlands countryside, with great service, a friendly atmosphere, tasty food and drinks and lovely rooms. Although the pub is over 300 years old with traditional stone walls and a thatched roof, the new annex features newly built, well-appointed rooms are clean and comfortable, featuring nice furniture, ample modern electric plugs, and a lovely bathroom with coffee and tea amenities. This was an incredible location, with outstanding service, meals, and comfy rooms.

Quiet location in pretty village. Very clean, modern room and bathroom with lots of thoughtful extras such as shaving and tooth care kits and bottled water. Excellent choice and quality of breakfast. Staff at check in and breakfast very friendly. Only one night because just there to visit family in village but would have been happy to stay longer.

Breakfast choices were excellent and the cooked breakfast options were high quality and freshly prepared. Attentive but not intrusive staff made for a pleasent dining experiance

Friendly and helpful staff, lovely room. Bonus that the rooms are flat access as I had walked 12 miles on a hot day and had a big backpack. Good breakfast. Right on the Jurassic Way so easy to pick up route again in the morning.
