the staff were extremely polite & helpful, listened to any concerns I had and answered all my questions. good communication. the other guests were friendly and respectful. lots of a nice spots to eat nearby & there's a library down the road. the blue heron is cute and comfortable.

LET ME TELL YOU LOOKS ARE DECEIVING WHEN YOU SEE FAIRBRIDGE INN EXPRESS- BARRINGTON, IL.; VIA LIMITED PHOTOS OR AT FIRST GLANCE!!! THIS IS PLACE IS A GEM INSIDE AND THE LOCATION COULDN'T BE BETTER! ROOMS ARE SO CLEAN & COMFORTABLE; NOT TO MENTION THE STAFFS FLEXIBILITY & PATIENCE AT ANY HOUR.

The owner/operator Danish (spelling?) and his beautiful 90-year mother came out in the drizzling rain to welcome us with big smiles on their faces. Check-in was a breeze. He showed us a convenient parking spot and gladly helped bring our luggage to our secure and beautifully appointed non-smoking king room up on the second floor, where we had a good night rest following our engagement for the evening. Upon our checkout the following morning, Danish formally introduced his pleasant aging parents and graciously obliged our curiosity regarding his family and the origins of his business. Danish finally bade us farewell and directed us to a eatery down the road where we could have breakfast. We heartily recommend the modest and relatively affordable family-owned and operated Fairbridge Inn Express for visitors to Barrington, Illinois and environs.

Owner very friendly, helpful, and always available. Accommodations are simple but adequate, just what I expect of "two-star" rated lodgings. It was safe, quiet, and easy to sleep well. Since sleep was really my goal, I was satisfied. The price was a bargain.
