Located on 40 acres of tropical landscape on the white sand of Wailea Beach, the Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa, A Waldorf Astoria Resort features 5 restaurants, a spa, a water park, and 3 golf courses. Guest rooms and suites feature free WiFi. All spacious guest rooms feature privately furnished terraces with views, a flat-screen TV and premium feather duvets. Each private bathroom features Italian marble vanities, a deep soaking tub, plush bathrobes and slippers, designer toiletries, a makeup mirror and hairdryer. Humuhumunukunukuapua'a, a Polynesian thatch roof restaurant set over a romantic oceanfront lagoon, serves Hawaiian-influenced fish and meat entrees. Olivine, featuring handmade pastas and seasonal dishes that infuse local Hawaiian ingredients with authentic Italian flavors. Botero Lounge, nspired selection of craft cocktails and savor fresh sushi and a range of inventive dishes amid nine larger-than-life sculptures by renowned artist Fernando Botero and 'Ikena for breakfast. Spa Grande is now Kilolani Spa at Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, offers a wide variety of body treatments, massages and beauty services. A hydrotherapy bath circuit is also featured. The Wailea Canyon water park offers 9 outdoor swimming pools connected by a lazy river and features a water elevator, water slides, waterfalls, caves, children’s pool, sand beach and a swim-up bar. A separate adults-only pool and sun terrace is also offered. A state-of-the-art fitness center is available to guests. A children’s activity program includes lei making, crafts and video games in a separate activity center. Guests can take advantage of the novice scuba lessons, yoga lessons on the beach, tours of the Botanical areas, cultural tours, and private photography sessions. Other services available include paddleboard lessons, guided standup paddle excursions and guided kayak tours. The Shops at Wailea are 5 minutes’ walk away. The location! The pools and the beautiful resort grounds
We were upgraded to a Napua room and it just about made our trip. It was such a lovely room with the ocean view and size. It also included other perks, including a lounge with breakfast, snacks, and a personal concierge. We had already booked all of our tours so we mostly just enjoyed the lounge benefits. The breakfast and snacks were nothing to write home about per se... and they weren't awfully vegetarian friendly... but they were a bonus we didn't expect and they saved us the hassle of finding ourselves breakfast each morning.
The staff was also so helpful - I had sat in gum at some point so I asked for warm vinegar and a toothbrush to try to get it out. They brought it right up, which was wonderful and honestly a bit surprising. They had a text service for that kind of thing, which made it so easy to request help.
It was right along the beach path and by a cute little beach.
Huge property with many ammenities and looks like lots of activities for kids
The location was incredible! The beach, the sunsets, the palm trees, the views, the oceanfront path. The slides and pool was unreal. It was perfect for my family and my mom's 70th birthday celebration with all the little cousins.
Top notch facilities
Staff trained really well. Another world. Everything thought out including the facilities gardens and rooms.
