Hearty breakfast to go. Dinner was great, talking with guests and owner with her children gives it a quaint comfy feeling. Sitting in parlor my husband played the guitar as we relaxed. Perfect location to visit many of the parks. Locals all welcoming at Diver Down and Lusky's. Affordable drinks and dinner @ Diver Down. Just a perfect way to see the fall colors, and enjoy the Ohio River views. We hiked at Cave in the Rock, Rim Rock, Garden of the Gods. Biked at Tunnel Hill, enjoyed wine tasting at Hogg Hollow and went into Metropolis to see the SUPERMAN of Illinois. Drive across the river into Paducah for cheap gas. Perfect location to stay, plus the history of the Mansion makes it even more intriguing. Highly recommend.

We were there in the down time so we had no expectations.
Loved the mansion! Comfortable and felt like home, plenty of fun decor to look at and I love a place with good bones and character. Amazing wine selection and a friendly host/family. Golconda is a cute little town and the location was convenient to our hiking plans for the following day
