Location was within walking distance restaurants and meeting place. Room was dirty, sheets were dirty. Waited in vehicle for room to be done when we go to the room we noticed the folded down top sheet looked dirty so we pulled the bedding down and the sheets were rumpled and dirty. The housekeeper then proceeded to say that we did it, we weren't in the room 2 minutes. She changed the bedding then asked if my friend of 40 years were going to share a bed so she'd know whether to change the other bed. Then she asked if we'd ever stayed at a place like this and asked if we expected a 5 star motel. I told her I didn't expect a 5 star but I did expect a clean room.

location was perfect for where I needed to be There was no hot water or a way to take a shower and the room did not have a dresser in it, and the place smells. the hotel is under remodel and not once did anyone offer to refund my money. I was asked if I wanted a shower on my way out. I was not impressed and will decide if I ever want to go back.

I enjoyed how the location was right off of I-25 and how Castle Rock's downtown area was only a 5 minute drive down the same road the hotel is on. Lack of cleanliness. I understand this price was a bit cheaper for a hotel, however, this should not negate sanitary procedures. It is a non-smoking hotel but smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. Even the next day after checkout my clothes smelled of smoke. The room had not been vacuumed prior to my arrival. This was evident once I walked in, as well as finding the pint of whiskey on the floor next to the bed, that was left from a previous stay. I figured the bedding hadn't been changed either so I slept on top of the blankets. Hiring someone to wash the walls, maybe paint a few, will go a long way for the appearance; but don't forget to keep it clean, otherwise it's a waste of money!
