Hotel looked like it was in a bad neighborhood. In the parking lot, there were weird people who looked like they were homeless. There was an old shoe right outside my hotel room. When I went inside the room it looked really ugly and uninviting the bathroom door was not wide enough for my husband to fit his walker in there. The inside of the front door frame was busted up like someone had broken into the room and I did not feel safe there. I was only there 10 minutes and demanded a refund and the front desk man said I had to call customer service through Zen Hotels and have them talk to the manager. Then Zen Hotels said I had to speak to the manager at the Hotel to get my refund and he would not give me full refund because he said I did not request a handicapped bathroom, and I can only cancel 24 hours ahead of time. I never been to a hotel that had a really small doorway into the bathroom so I never ran into that problem and didn't know I had to request a handicapped room and the room looked nothing like the pictures online, the room was a complete dump and I felt very unsafe. very dirty horrible customer service from the owner/manager he took my money and would not give me a refund even though I did not even stay there his excuse for not giving me a refund was because I did not ask for a handicapped room ahead of time. How would I ask for handicapped room when I never ran into that problem before in the past? Even if my husbands walker could fit in the bathroom I still wanted to cancel because I did not feel safe there but he was greedy and still took my money.
