Best location right on the main street here in Talkeetna. Very easy walk everywhere. Was clean and comfortable and has a very unique old school feel from another era but in a good way.
Awesome that you got free coffee at the in house bakery with great baked good choices for purchase. Also nice coffee station for our suite. Also, one bedroom was a futon, great for TV watching....but no cable. Very responsive owner! Parking very convenient. House right in the middle of Talkeetna, great for walking around!
Everything was perfect. Great staff, wonderful quaint accommodations.
Amazing experience staying in 100+ years old building
This was the cutest place to stay! We had all three rooms and the bathroom upstairs so it felt more private. If you are a small group or traveling on your own, you may only have one of these rooms. The downstairs gathering area was fascinating, filled with all kinds of Denali memorabilia of past expeditions. I know there were other people staying in the rooms downstairs, but we never saw them. But there is plenty of room for everyone in the main gathering area. We loved the bakery that was connected and ate something from there each morning. The Talkeetna Raodhouse really just felt like you were coming home each evening or visiting a grandparent's house. There were even fresh cookies in the kitchen area when we got there!
