Location, people at reception
Start to finish, this hotel experience was HORRIBLE! My booking e-mail stated to contact the hotel in the event you would be checking in late. I called for two hours and no one answered the phone. When I arrived, I couldn't find the hotel because the it is labeled with a completely different name. There was no valet present and I had to go across the street to park my car and drag all my luggage across Collins Ave. I finally got to my room and there were A TON of mosquitos in it. I killed at least 6 within the first hour I was in the room. I placed the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door so the maid would not come in. She banged on the door and entered anyway. When checking out, I had to once again drag all my luggage across Collins Ave because there was no valet present. (They don't start until late and stop working at 6pm). I informed the supervisor of my awful experience to which he responded, "Oh, we'll you should have told us. We would have switched your room." As though that would remedy the maid disregarding my wish for privacy and having to deal with parking/luggage. I would not recommend this hotel.
