It's like taking a trip back in time. There's so much history in this house. The staff was amazing and super knowledgeable of the house and the town. The food was amazing. It was a different experience since everything you need was in one place. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

I loved being able to stay in an historic home. When the A/C didn't cool the dining room, I did not care because it added to the charm. Whatever wasn't perfect helped make the history of the home come alive. People that want new and modern would not appreciate this place. People that enjoy Civil War history, or old homes in general will love this place!!! You get access to most of the lovely-decorated house and grounds, including a pool. There's a restaurant on sight with good food (extra cost of course, but not too high). There are lovely second-floor porches for enjoying the view. There is also a roof-top terrace for an even better view of the Mississippi River. If you have ever wanted to be Scarlet O'Hara for a day, this is the place for you.
