The location is super convenient for backpackers and hikers due to being close to several trails and mt Whitney. And the views were stunning. Also the price is really good and has everything you need and close to stores and restraunts.
The hostel was very clean, the beds were comfy, and the room was spacious. Great location and it was very quiet. Would stay again!
We loved the location and our room with a view of Whitney right out the window, that was the kicker. SO COOL! Being able to walk to everything right in town felt like such a luxury after spending so much time in the car to get there.
This was my 3rd stay at the Whitney Portal Hotel, and whilst it provides only a rather basic comfort and facilities, it can't be beaten in its great location and morning view on the Mt Whitney Mountain from the property porch.
Location was convenient. I did not have breakfast or interact with staff. Keyless entry was good.
