New California Hotel is on the banks of BiTan River, a convenient 2-minute walk from Xindian Metro Station. It is just a 5 minute walk from BiTan Bridge, where guests can enjoy firework displays and swan-boat pedalling. Cozy air conditioned rooms feature warm lighting and soft carpeted floors. Hotel is nicely located near a scenic area and adjacent to the metro. Rooms are small but adequate and very well-priced.
It felt cozy and warm. Location was great since it’s right across from the MRT.
Eight years ago, I stayed in this hotel with my family of 5 for 2 weeks. It was great and is still a great place for a family vacation because of the convenience of transportation, great prices for food, and shopping. The bus and train terminals are just across from the hotel. You can get the bus from the airport to the hotel which is the last stop for just $6 US. The hotel front desk to the staff that keep the place running are friendly and nice. They have a washer and dryer now, and we used to take them to the laundromat. However, one thing, smoking is not allowed in the hotel, but the room and hallway have this lingering smell of smoke. This is the only thing I have an issue with.
Friendly staff and excellent location. delicious all you can eat breakfast is an excellent plus.
