Very nice and accommodating. Brought me cold and hot water (make own tea or coffee, plentiful tea bags and a glass full of ground coffee to choose from) as I was shown my room. Very firm mattress, which to me is a good thing. Excellent shared (like among the three rooms on the floor) bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink; everything worked perfectly or as expected. The WiFi was solid too. Breakfast is on the roof (don’t worry, there’s lots of shade up there) and it was great. My room also had a balcony. There was both a ceiling fan and an AC unit in the room. Everything was excellent.
The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect for someone who wants to walk around Stone Town and it’s near the ferry terminal as well. The breakfast included is basic but good (eggs, toast, fruit, fresh juices). The glass bottle of water in the rooms was a nice touch as well as the tiny individual bars of soap that smell like cloves.
