The place is clean and cozy. Good location. Close to the slopes, yet a bit distant which leaves you at peace. Sauna, fireplace, full kitchen, clothes dryer. What else would you need...? Easy comunication with the owner. Would return.

A lovely wooden, rustic looking apartment located in a forested area of Ruka. The apartment was spacious and the 3 teenage kids enjoyed sleeping in the loft. The kitchen was well equipped and there were instructions to everything. The host was very nice and responded rapidly to all the questions we had.

We had the most wonderful stay at the Saaruakuja Lodge and can't wait to return! The property exceeded all of our expectations. It was spotless and had every facility you could need. We particularly loved the drying cupboard for snowboards/boots etc, the sauna, dishwasher, coffee machine, log burner and washing machine. Not to mention the stacks of games, wood matches, candles and kitchen cupboard amenities that just made the trip so much easier and made the lodge feel instantly like home. The owner replied instantly to any query we had during the trip and made the arrival/departure process seamless. It was just the two of us staying in the 3 bed lodge but it didn't feel at all excessive as we just didn't use the upstairs bedrooms.

The perfect log cabin in the mountains experience. The architecture is amazing. Would go back there in a heartbeat if I ever return to Ruka.

Well equipped apartment, clean & cosy! Within walking distance of the slopes - 8 mins. Value for money was excellent. Everything straightforward & communication was good.
