The apartment is a manageable 15-minute walk from the train station. It has historical significance as it is reported that King Rene used to stay here when he was in Avignon. It is located beside the pedestrians-only streets that lead to the main square, Place de l'Horlogne, with its many stores, restaurants and cafes. Close by is the Palace of the Pope, the various museums and the famous 14th century Avignon Bridge.
In addition, I must commend the housekeeping mother and daughter team (Laur and Evelyn) for their exceptional service. When I offered extra money to them as my personal thanks, they politely refused.
The host meet up with us early to drop off our luggage and left a local treat for us nice touch. It was in a good location central to everything close to grocery stores. Washer was a big benefit bed was comfy.

Apartment located directly next to Les Halles, with two supermarkets, a bakery, and two bus stops for the (free) transport to the car park Les Italiens, where we parked our rental car daily (you can't really park in the centre, but this is a fine alternative as the busses there go every 5mins or so, except for sundays).
Owner was helpful, fast responses.
