Ax Hotel Spa & Restaurant, Шорж, Франция

If you’re travelling the Route Napoleon by car from Grasse to Lyon like we were, this hotel makes a perfect half way stop. Not really near anything but next to a Brewpub that fortunately for us, being a Friday, had a great atmosphere and a live band. Room was entirely as expected with nothing whatsoever to complain about. Did not have the time to use the spa facilities and didn’t use the property for either dinner and breakfast as we prefer to go and explore the surroundings.

Adjoins a micro brewery which is excellent, location is rural but suited us for our trajectory over the alps. Super staff and owners who were great fun in the bar, top restaurant on site
