Located in the historic town of Saumur, a 10-minute drive from the castle, this Campanile hotel provides bike rental, a traditional French restaurant and rooms with LCD TV. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. All of the rooms at Campanile Saumur are nonsmoking and includes an electric kettle with tea and coffee making facilities. A baby kit with cot, games and high chair is available upon request as well as ironing facilities. You can enjoy the buffet breakfast while reading the free newspapers provided by the staff. The staff were very helpful and pleasant (while kept very busy!). The breakfasts and evening meal were very good. The room was comfortable and clean and a good size with parking right outside which was handy for us. The terrace has a good view of the chateau in the distance. Good location for a few nights and we were able to cycle around Saumur and to Fontevraud, so a very decent base.
Revisited this campanile having previously stayed there 3 years ago. Brilliant situation & rooms at rear were very private. Tasty & good value evening meal

I had an evening meal in the restaurant which was excellent and just what I needed after a long hot day on a motorcycle, the beer was cold to! My ground floor room allowed me to park the bike right outside and keep an eye on it and on request I was also provided a more secluded room that meant the bike wasn't easily seen, the staff were really friendly and helpful room felt recently refurbished and the shower was fantastic - excellent all round stop when heading further south.
The staff were nice and helpful , my French is poor but the waitress spoke good English and everything worked out well . Thank you
