Chateau le Val is located off the beaten track and nestled in a quiet, peaceful setting. Irene and Uwe are exceptionally welcoming, kind and friendly. They go out of their way to make guests comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent. We highly recommend this stay.
This isn’t just a place to spend the night—it’s an experience in itself. If you're looking for an authentic castle living experience in northern France, this is the perfect spot.
The hosts were extremely warm and welcoming. We were even greeted with a lovely welcome set upon arrival, which made us feel truly special.
Breakfast was another highlight—beautifully prepared with care and attention to detail. Every bite reflected the host’s dedication to quality and hospitality.

Quiet location especially great if you’re visiting the Normandy region. Beautiful chateau, amazing friendly hosts and a lovely breakfast. Rooms were large and comfortable. Will definitely return!
Beautiful castle in the middle of the forest. Cherbourg is close, and so are all the interesting D-Day places. The hosts are the kindest and most welcoming people. I recommend this location without hesitation.
Beautiful property set in a quiet location. Many things to see and do in the local area. Our hosts were a highlight of our visit with many recommendations and allowing access to the property with a guided tour. We enjoyed an afternoon picnic in the wonderful gardens.
