Carmen was a lovely host who made sure that we had everything for a comfortable stay with our children (toddler and baby). The house is very nice, and the facilities are clean and working. The location is perfect for exploring Alsace because it's close to many notable places and good restaurants, but it's in a very quiet part of the village.
We also used the garden to play and have lunch and we enjoyed having a space outside!
Accomodation was very cozy, very clean and spacious, beautiful arrangement, and best of all were very accommodating and friendly hosts who left us a gift basket with couple of snacks and a local wine which was amazing! 10/10 would like to visit again, and will definitely recommend to more of our friends! There are many castles, wineries and local restaurants with locally sourced food and drinks!
First of all, the hosts--Carmen & Pierre---were extra welcoming. Pierre met us in the street since we were coming in right in the nick of time. He gave us our key and welcomed us. The apartment is lovely. Very nicely decorated and has everything you need for a weekend stay. We were grateful for the little basket of wine, pretzels, chips, and candies waiting for us on the dining table. The beds were fantastic. Beautiful bedding for all --even the foldaway bed. The bathroom was great. Shower is comfortable and easy to get into. They had a hair dryer for our use too! Altogether wonderful! We were able to walk to the dog to an open field nearby; they even had a ball for the dog in the yard, which they let us use freely. We were able to sit at the outdoor table on the terrace and enjoy our breakfast and afternoon tea. Carmen made reservations for us at a local restaurant. Wonderful stay! I felt very comfortable and warmly welcomed.
It was lovely to stay with my family, a toddler and two of my friends. First of all, it is a charming, lovely warm house. There are clean bed sheets, towels, cutlery, and well-thought details such as free snacks, coffee, etc. You can cook yourself in the house. The location is ideal for a Christmas visit to the Alsace region. The house owner is friendly and helpful. I want to visit again in the summer as well.
