We arrived late after a long day of travel but a hot meal was waiting for us. This family run hotel in a beautiful location works hard to make your stay comfortable - and make you feel part of the family. The rooms and facilities are fairly basic as you would expect for a hotel serving hikers on the Chemin de Stevenson but they are quiet, clean and the beds are comfortable. We stayed three nights to fish the stunning Haute Loire - a stones throw from the hotel - and, by the time we left, we felt that we had made real friends with Matthieu and Marine, the owners. If the fish were easier to catch, we would definitely go back!
Fabulous location, the hosts Marine and Matthieu were welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful garden with all their animals. The room was comfortable. Marine and Matthieu had recently bought the hotel and were in the process of improving it. They are creating a warm and comfortable hotel for the future with their lovely family
Great decor - being refurbished - nice interesting place - right by the river
Perfect location for the Loire cycle path. Lovely meal.
The hospitality here is fantastic. The owner (Mathew) speaks English well and couldn’t have been more welcoming. We stayed a night while cycling down the Loire from source to sea - it’s a fabulous location. Easy parking. Excellent food. I even managed to charge my EV.
